Think. Write. Love.
Think. Write. Lead. - Issues #69
Thought leadership requires breaking patterns and coming up with something new and different. Today’s my wife’s birthday, so it’s a great excuse to change the pattern of this newsletter for one week and do something…. less from the head, and more from the heart.
I don’t know about you but after decades of chasing professional fulfillment, I realized there was more to life than a career.
That’s how I came up with the concept of a balanced life.
A balanced life has 13 goals:
1. A healthy and fit body.
2. A sharp intellect.
3. A flow of positive emotions.
4. A strong character.
5. An enlightening spirituality or philosophy.
6. A passionate love relationship.
7. Joyful parenting.
8. Meaningful friendships.
9. Financial freedom.
10. A significant career.
11. A peaceful living and working environment.
12. Adventurous travel.
13. A creative pursuit.
This is my ultimate bucket list.
I regularly go over this list to see where I’m lacking and need to work on.
I apply the 80/20 rule here: the goal is to be at around 80% fulfilled in the 13% areas to have a balanced life.
And also knowing that life has seasons and there will be good and bad times. But it all comes down to your Big Why (your life vision or mission statement). And mine is to love and be loved.
So, think, write, and lead. But also love.
P.S. Would love to hear from you about what you would add to the bucket list above, if anything. Just shoot me an email.
I loved this installment. Thank you.
