Hey, my friend! I can’t believe this is issue #70 already.

That means 70 weeks straight of writing this newsletter, nonstop. Phew!

Very proud of it so far.

And yes, I plan on keeping it going, but…

I’m taking a break this Spring. I’ll be back in June.

It sounds like a lot, more than most writers ever do. Sounds risky. I may lose momentum. I may lose you as a reader (hopefully not).

But here’s the thing.

My wife and I recently became empty nesters. When we married almost 20 years ago, we already had a child. So this is the first time we are by ourselves.

That means a chance to travel.

So for the next two months, we’ll be backpacking around Europe.

I could certainly write while traveling, but you wouldn’t have my full attention. And I prefer to take a break than to give you a half-baked newsletter each week.

I’ll take notes during our trip and perhaps will include some anecdotes in future issues.

In the meantime, if you are new here, you can go back and read the archives, check my articles on Medium, or finish reading The Solo Author.
